The Cerium doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet(Ce:YAG) crystal is an excellent scintillation crystal. It has a high light yield (9000Ph/Mev) and a fast decay time (78ns). Its illuminating center wavelength is 550nm, Can be effectively coupled with a silicon photodiode detection device; Additionly, Ce:YAG crystal has excellent physical and chemical properties, which is very suitable for medium-low energy ray detection.

 

As a scintillation crystal, the Ce-doped YAG crystal has high luminous efficiency and wide light pulse, and its luminescence peak (550nm) can well match the sensitive wavelength of the photodiode. It is suitable for the application when using photodiodes as photodetectors and detecting lightly charged particles. Also, it is not deliquescent, high temperature resistant, and stable in thermodynamic properties, and can be used in extreme detection environments.
