Lithium tantalate(LiTaO3) crystal has excellent electro-optic, piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties, the pyroelectric coefficient is 2.3 × 10 -7 C/cm 2 /K. It growth by Czochralski method. LiTaO3 used as a Q-switch in laser technology, as a pyroelectric detector in infrared technology, and used in the electronics industry to make filters and resonators.
